A clear private label project brief brings the starting model, branding request, packaging and sample questions into one record. Use the sections below to prepare the discussion, track unresolved details and record changes before proceeding.
On this page 6 sections
Describe the starting model
Identify the existing model or specification under discussion. Record the version being referenced so that subsequent questions about appearance, accessories or packaging refer to the same item. Keep uncertain details marked as questions until the supplier confirms them.
List logo and packaging requests separately from changes to the product or included accessories. These are different parts of the brief. Ask which requests are available for the selected model instead of treating every customization option as a confirmed service.
Write down the packaging requirements
Describe the requested packaging and the information that must appear on it. Record which files or details still need to be supplied and who will review them. Avoid proceeding on the assumption that a general reference to custom packaging resolves the design details.
Use the sample discussion to check the agreed specification and proposed changes. Keep a written record of questions, observations and requested revisions. The purpose is to clarify the project before a larger commitment, not to treat a sample as a guarantee about every future order.
Compare suppliers on the same brief
Ask each supplier about the same model requirements, customization scope, quantities and destination. Consider the completeness of the answers as well as the quotation. General claims about experience or quality should be followed by information relevant to the actual project.
Before proceeding, summarize the agreed specification and identify anything still awaiting confirmation. Keep later changes visible in the project record, together with the version of the brief to which they apply. This gives everyone involved a clear account of what has been discussed and what remains open.
